Technical note on the Email Digest

I'm getting reports from Interpreter Email Digest subscribers that a bug has crept in — for some of you, short bursts of random text are appearing after hyperlinks.

We're on to it.

As an aside, I occasionally run into people around the Institute who, when I introduce myself as editor of The Interpreter, will reply with something like, 'Oh yes, I get that'. At first, this puzzled me. What does 'get that' mean? It's a website, free to the public. Everybody 'gets it'.

But of course this is a reference to the Email Digest, and there are now almost 2500 of you who experience The Interpreter only through that email service and who may never even navigate to our main page.

This is a long way of saying that I realise how important this service has become, and that we are working hard to maintain it. Meanwhile, if you are reading this from our website and would like to subscribe to the Digest, click here and enter your email address.
