Last week, the Lowy Institute ran a series of seminars for members of a government department based around the theme of 'ideas': how policy ideas are created, how to communicate new ideas within government, the role of policy entrepreneurs etc.

Now here's a video I've just discovered on the broad topic of ideas and innovation. The argument here is that the 'lone genius' archetype and the 'light bulb moment' are myths, and that the best ideas are generated by a mix of copying, combining and collaborating:
