I'm on my way to some meetings in Canada so got to read the print edition of the NYT this morning. Page nine had an interesting reminder of some of the lingering disputes Asian countries are still to resolve. It was a full page advertisement from this group, claiming in giant font an 'Error in NYT' (I don't know why they left off the exclamation mark).

As the advertisement points out, on 6 April the Times called the sea between Korea and Japan the 'Sea of Japan' instead of the 'East Sea'. It reminds me of another body of water whose name is hotly contested: the Gulf
