As it happens, Rory Medcalf and myself tackled this question (or something like it) in October last year, when we each nominated our top foreign policy priorities for the Gillard Government.

It's tempting to take up Dominic's invitation to the full and list my priorities for domestic policy also; tax reform, middle class welfare, higher education and infrastructure would all feature. But I have the luxury of maintaining vague and unformed opinions on such matters (if they even are opinions; probably mere prejudices), since this is not that kind of blog.
