A lovely short video here about the origins of this now ubiquitous poster, intended as British propaganda during World War II. I've always liked the sense of resilience embedded in the slogan 'Keep calm and carry on', and the implied rebuke to the way the West (Britain included) panicked about Islamic radicalism after 9/11.
