Interpreter at Asian Century WP launch

This coming Sunday afternoon at 1pm, Prime Minister Julia Gillard will be at the Lowy Institute to launch the Australia in the Asian Century White Paper. As I often do on such occasions, I'll post early impressions just after the speech, so please drop by the site for that and for a video interview with the PM by our Executive Director, Michael Fullilove.

I'm also informed that ABC News 24 and Sky News will broadcast the event, and if you're on Twitter, look for the #AsianCentury hashtag for commentary from the Lowy Institute and others. if you want to read the White Paper itself, it will be available here from 11am on Sunday.

This White Paper will be a signature foreign policy document for Prime Minister Gillard. If it hits the mark, it could come to be seen as a milestone for Australia's relations with Asia. Or it could be just another quickly forgotten government report. Join us on The Interpreter on Sunday afternoon to learn more.
