Today, musical comedy.

Specifically, the 1970s novelty hit, 'Why can't we be friends?', which has some diplomatic history. According to Wikipedia, '(i)t was played in space when NASA beamed it to the linking of Soviet cosmonauts and U.S. astronauts in 1975.'

'Why can't we be friends?' is used to great effect in the Simpsons episode, 'The Homer they fall'. Homer takes up boxing after learning he has a rare condition known as Homer Simpson Syndrome ('Why me?', he bawls, when Dr Hibbert breaks the news), which makes it almost impossible to knock him out. Still, Homer's a little nervous about facing Drederick Tatum (read Mike Tyson), hence the music:
