This WikiLeaks spot mocking MasterCard has been doing the rounds for a week or so now. It's a pretty cheeky campaign, given WikiLeaks is suing MasterCard for stopping payments to Julian Assange's outfit.

But NY Times reporter Robert Mackey has a piece airing claims that WikiLeaks is also being a bit cheeky with the facts. The ad suggests WikiLeaks is responsible for the Egyptian uprising; not so, say various analysts and Egyptian bloggers.

Note, though, that Mackey has not written a hit piece on Assange — he airs both sides of the argument about WikiLeaks' role in the Arab Spring. As always, read the whole thing.
