A facelift for The Interpreter

Sam Roggeveen

22 May 2009 17:10

The Interpeter will be down for a few hours on Monday morning while our tech geniuses load a new-look page. It will still be recognisably The Interpreter, but with a sleeker and more contemporary look, and some new features that I'll tell you more about after we launch.

As with the original design, the care, attention and expense taken to create the new look is a visible sign that the Lowy Institute takes this blogging business very seriously.

A colleague attended a conference in North America recently and came back remarking how commonplace it was for people to drop the word 'blog' into presentations and conversation. Here, we still refer mostly to 'that paper' someone wrote, or their latest op-ed. But that will change as surely as it is in other advanced economies, and I'm proud the Lowy Institute is at the forefront of that change.

We'll continue to provide quality debate and commentary, and to contribute original reporting that breaks news, as we did today. See you Monday on the new Interpreter.
