  • Didn't I tell you that the New Yorker's George Packer, though he doesn't blog often, always blogs well? He's detected a change in Barack Obama's countenance lately, even before his grandmother died.Perhaps something to do with weight of responsibility?
  • University of Queensland economist John Quiggin says the Bush Administration's intervention in the financial system has rewritten the rules, which opens up opportunities for an Obama Administration.
  • Matt Yglesias' arguments about how the new media landscape have changed this election are persuasive even if you don't agree with his partisan slant. All sides of the political debate now have a volunteer army of online fact-checkers to beat back slurs and innuendos. That's good for American democracy, not just the Democrats.
  • Talking Points Memo is a very good site for following today's results, but they're just killing time at the moment. Who cares what the Danes think?
