Coral Bell on the future world order

One thing I forgot to mention in reply to Peter Hodge's email (below) is that although it is important to look ten or even fifty years into the future, you don't necessarily need intelligence agencies to do that kind of work, because classified information has a very limited role to play in such long-term assessments. What you do need is wisdom, historical perspective, and a touch of imagination. Which is not a bad description of Coral Bell, who has just released her Lowy Institute Paper on the coming Asia-centric multipolar order. If you don't have time to read the whole thing, which is available for free on our website, there's a good precis of the paper here.
