Australia election: Who would you turn Democrat for?

Lets face it: on the toughest question of the campaign so far, Kevin Rudd caved. When talk show host Rove McManus last night put his standard 'Who would you turn gay for?' question to the Opposition Leader, Rudd lamely said there was only one person for him, his wife Therese.

Sexual preferences may have been off limits, but Rudd did reveal a detail about his political preferences. When Rove asked 'Hillary or Obama?', he opted for Clinton. This was surprising both for the answer he gave and the fact that he answered at all. In about fourteen months, Rudd could find himself having to work with one of these two. Was it smart to reveal a preference now? And why Hillary anyway? Is there something about her record over Obama's that suggests she would be better for the alliance?
