The Lowy Institute for International Policy released its 2012 Poll at a launch on Tuesday, June 5.

The annual Lowy Poll is the Lowy Institute’s flagship publication, with its results frequently cited by politicians and policy-makers, journalists and academics. The 2012 Poll will be no exception, with insight on Australian attitudes towards a range of foreign policy issues, including:

  • Foreign investment in Australian farms
  • Migration, particularly temporary skilled work visas
  • Chinese investment & China’s role in Australia's avoiding a recession
  • The US alliance and basing US forces in Australia; and
  • Changing attitudes towards climate change.

The Poll was launched by Lowy Institute Executive Director, Dr Michael Wesley, with fellow panellists Innes Willox, Rowan Callick and Meg McDonald.
